Total Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually (depending on experience)

Job Overview:
The District Manager – Virtual Self Storage Operations will oversee a virtual portfolio of self-storage properties operated through a remote management model. This role is responsible for leading and supporting a team of Remote/Virtual Managers who handle day-to-day operations, sales, and customer service through digital platforms and call center technology. The ideal candidate is a seasoned self-storage professional who combines operational excellence with strong technical acumen and experience managing distributed or call center-based teams. You will get to work in an entrepreneurial and rapidly growing environment with low hierarchy (you will have access to the CEO).

Responsibilities
· Oversee the performance of multiple self-storage locations managed remotely through centralized systems and virtual staff.
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of Remote Managers to meet occupancy, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals.
· Monitor property performance metrics including rental trends, delinquencies, expenses, and digital customer engagement.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and operational standards.
· Partner with IT and operations teams to optimize technology platforms, call center workflows, and automation tools.
· Analyze reports and dashboards to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiency.
· Conduct regular virtual meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews with remote team members.
· Assist in onboarding new virtual sites and staff, ensuring smooth integration into remote management systems.
· Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, and customer support to drive results across the portfolio.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience in self-storage operations; multi-site or district-level experience strongly preferred.
· Proven experience managing remote or call center teams, ideally within the property management, storage, or retail industries.
· Strong technical proficiency with cloud-based management systems, CRMs, and communication tools (e.g., Teams, Microsoft 365, storage management software).
· Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage time, priorities, and performance in a fully remote environment.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
· Knowledge of call center KPIs and workforce management best practices. Familiarity with storage software (e.g., SSM).
· Experience with virtual customer service platforms, VoIP systems, and digital leasing processes.
· Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgets, and operational metrics.
· Change management experience with technology rollouts or organizational transitions.
