Job Overview:

Join as a Traveler Registered Nurse in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This acute care role requires a compassionate and skilled RN with a minimum of 2 years CVICU experience, ready to work nights with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. You will provide critical care to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries and procedures in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU (Nights)- AUTO OFFER

Location: Prescott, AZ 86301

Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)

Weekend Requirement: Will be required to work 2 weekend shifts per pay period (two weeks), this is not every other weekend. It could be every Friday night or every Saturday night depending on the needs of the unit.

Duration: 14 weeks starting 11/04/2025

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to CVICU patients with conditions such as AMI, CAD, PVD, and more
  • Manage titratable drips including Dexmedetomidine, Propofol, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Levo, Insulin, and Cardene
  • Utilize advanced skills such as IABP and CRRT management, and care for fresh OHS patients
  • Perform dysrhythmia monitoring and pass related competency exams
  • Collaborate with intensivists and other healthcare professionals in a dynamic critical care environment
  • Float to ICU, PCU, MS, and Tele units as needed across campuses
  • Work 2 weekend shifts per pay period and participate in call rotations (max 3 per 12 weeks)

Requirements:

  • Current RN license (BSN not required)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in CVICU or comparable cardiac ICU setting
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred
  • Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam (minimum 80% within 2 attempts) prior to contract signing
  • Own vehicle required if part of a travel duo
  • Must comply with CommonSpirit 50-mile radius and employment restrictions

  • Unit has 12 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
  • No nurse aides on unit; nurses read cardiac strips
  • Telemetry monitoring with Nihon Khoden system
  • Scrub color: Navy Blue
  • Hospital with 24/7 intensivist coverage and respiratory therapists available
