Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Apartment Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management and leasing, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with potential residents, showcasing available units, and facilitating the leasing process while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct property tours and showcase available apartments to prospective tenants.
  • Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law to ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
  • Utilize Yardi and AppFolio software for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
  • Handle inquiries from potential residents via phone and email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Assist in resolving tenant conflicts and maintenance requests through effective conflict management and communication.
  • Implement upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure properties are well-maintained and presentable for showings.

Skills

  • Proficiency in LIHTC, Section 8, and property management practices.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in contracts related to leasing agreements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and filing.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers through effective communication and service-oriented approaches.
  • Experience in sales within the real estate sector is highly desirable.
