Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Urgent Care Physician Assistant to join our Chula Vista team. This role is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care. You will diagnose and treat a range of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, perform minor procedures, and work collaboratively with a talented medical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions.
  • Perform minor procedures, including laceration repairs, splinting, and abscess drainage.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff to provide efficient, quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive healthcare practices.

Qualifications:

  • Physician Assistant CA license
  • Current DEA certification
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (pending is okay)
  • Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience is highly desirable
