ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary

The Parts Assistant is responsible for the accurate handling, organization, and distribution of parts within the warehouse and service department. This role ensures that parts are properly received, stocked, and delivered to support efficient repair and maintenance operations, contributing directly to the productivity of the service team and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inspection
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Record receipts in the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
  • Organization & Stocking
  • Stock parts in designated locations with proper labeling for easy access.
  • Maintain organized inventory levels to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Inventory Management
  • Assist with regular inventory counts and periodic stock audits.
  • Help monitor and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.
  • Order Fulfillment & Shipping
  • Pick and verify parts for customer orders with accuracy.
  • Safely package and label parts for shipping, preparing all necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery and resolve shipment issues.
  • Service Department Support
  • Work closely with technicians to fulfill parts requests quickly and accurately.
  • Prioritize urgent requests to minimize downtime and support timely repairs.
  • Deliver parts directly to technicians as needed.
  • Warehouse Safety & Organization
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in warehouse efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Communicate with parts staff and technicians regarding availability, backorders, and special orders.
  • Coordinate with service leads to prepare required parts for upcoming jobs.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, inventory, or parts handling preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with service teams and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
