Job Summary:

Assist Warehouse Manager to direct, coordinates and plans the warehouses storage and distribution of the products and materials. Responsible for overall activities in the warehouse including but not limited to: supervising employees, engaging in shipping/receiving, storing materials and products, and safety development.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and trains employees to work in the warehouse either as laborers, equipment operators, clerks or inspector
  • Assist WH Manager to schedules Warehouse employees, truck drivers, drop offs/deliveries and loading dock use of mechanized equipment such as forklifts
  • Ensures that all appropriate safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory
  • Checks and verifies shipping records, handles questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages and addresses any problems with inventory control
  • Receiving:

1) Quality (visual) and quantity inspection according to a packing list received from a driver/supplier

2) Issues stickers for all receiving items (packaging materials, ingredients and customer returns) and assigns PKG# for each pallet

3) Fills out appropriate paperwork and enters information in the database

  • Shipping:

1) Quality (visual) and quantity inspection for finished products, and reports any defects to Production/Quality Assurance departments

2) Makes arrangements with trucking companies for pick-ups

3) Checks for LOT# and issues BOL

4) Fills out appropriate paperwork and enters information in the database

  • Communicates with trucking companies, requesting for quotes, negotiating the costs and following up on shipped products
  • Verifies Driver License of truck drivers arranged by customers or third parties
  • Checks and reports for products inventory on request from customers
  • Supervises Warehouse team as well as KANBAN/Picker system
  • Prepares all the materials for 2nd, 3rd and weekend shifts as well as for Liquid Facility according to the pull list
  • Organizes and categorizes the Warehouse and office to OSHA standards, as well as all the materials in the Warehouse
  • Assist in conducting daily tailgate meeting first thing in the morning, and going over daily schedules and safety issues
  • Conducts inventory counts regularly on finished goods and reports to appropriate departments
  • Other duties will be assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of proven warehouse supervisory experience
  • Superb leadership skills and ability to manage warehouse staff
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, decision making, time management, problem solving, strategic planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Related experience in manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Related college degree is a big plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65, $75,000.00 per year
