Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our team operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train new employees on food preparation techniques, customer service standards, and restaurant policies.
  • Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Utilize POS systems for order processing and cash management.
  • Conduct interviews for potential new hires and participate in the hiring process.

Skills

  • Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent staff training abilities with a focus on team development.
  • Ability to supervise multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and their operation within a restaurant setting.
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both staff and customers.
