About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President with 10+ years of New York State Health and Medicaid policy experience to join our team. This senior-level lobbyist will lead client engagements, manage teams, and drive results in Albany and beyond.

You will be at the forefront of the most important health and Medicaid policy issues facing New York today working with hospitals, provider agencies, managed care plans, trade associations, and other stakeholders to shape legislation, budgets, and regulations that impact millions of New Yorkers.

What You'll Do

• Serve as lead strategist and day-to-day contact for clients in the healthcare and Medicaid sector.
• Provide expert analysis of Medicaid budgets, waivers, reimbursement methodologies, and managed care policy, distilling complex issues into clear guidance for clients.
• Manage and grow client relationships while supporting new business development.
• Develop and execute lobbying campaigns that deliver results in Albany and at the local level.
• Build and maintain high-level relationships with the Governor's Office, Legislature, Department of Health, Division of the Budget, and other state agencies.
• Represent clients at the Capitol, in hearings, and at stakeholder meetings; identify opportunities for leadership and coalition-building.
• Mentor and lead Vice Presidents, Legislative Analysts, and other team members.
• Shape firm-wide strategy on Medicaid and healthcare issues, ensuring Ostroff Associates remains the go-to firm in this space.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in New York State health and Medicaid policy.
• Deep understanding of Medicaid financing, state budget processes, and agency operations.
• Proven record of success in legislative, regulatory, or government affairs roles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients, elected officials, regulators, and industry partners.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a team-first mindset.
• Entrepreneurial drive and commitment to client service.
