The Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our leadership team — someone with a predisposition to serve, both their guests and their team. This role requires a cook's discipline, a teacher's patience, and a leader's sense of purpose. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and ownership to guide daily operations, uphold culinary standards, and foster a culture rooted in respect and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and lead by example on the line
- Support menu development, specials, and seasonal transitions
- Train, mentor, and inspire cooks to grow in skill and confidence
- Maintain consistency, quality, and organization across all stations
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Collaborate with the front of house to deliver a seamless guest experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within a high-quality kitchen
- Strong command of classic French technique and contemporary plating
- Ability to lead calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communicator with a passion for teaching and continuous improvement
- A grounded, service-minded leader who takes pride in building team culture
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
- Schedule: Full-time, primarily evening service, with consistent two days off per week
