The Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our leadership team — someone with a predisposition to serve, both their guests and their team. This role requires a cook's discipline, a teacher's patience, and a leader's sense of purpose. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and ownership to guide daily operations, uphold culinary standards, and foster a culture rooted in respect and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and lead by example on the line
  • Support menu development, specials, and seasonal transitions
  • Train, mentor, and inspire cooks to grow in skill and confidence
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and organization across all stations
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control
  • Collaborate with the front of house to deliver a seamless guest experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within a high-quality kitchen
  • Strong command of classic French technique and contemporary plating
  • Ability to lead calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator with a passion for teaching and continuous improvement
  • A grounded, service-minded leader who takes pride in building team culture

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, primarily evening service, with consistent two days off per week
