Job Description

As a Security Professional - Distribution Screener Full-Time in Blauvelt, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to support a secure environment, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel while maintaining a security-related presence.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
