As our first dedicated sales hire, you will be a founding member of the sales team, crucial for establishing our market presence and driving significant, sustainable revenue growth. This is a ground-floor opportunity for a driven, entrepreneurial seller to build a territory backed by a proven, high-capacity production facility.

Core Responsibilities

New Business Development:

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new commercial / B2B accounts across Southeast regional territory and targeted national markets.
  • Execute strategic outbound activities (cold calling, networking, in-person meetings) to establish relationships with key decision makers e.g. Marketing Directors, Procurement and partners e.g. design firms, marketing agencies, event planners.
  • Actively bid on large-scale commercial print and graphics projects, managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for complex, large-scale printing, graphics, and signage projects, executing full sales cycles from initial needs assessment to proposal delivery and final contract negotiation.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand the client's marketing objectives and recommend complex solutions encompassing digital, wide-format, and finishing techniques.
  • Target key industries and decision-makers relevant to our core product lines including, but not limited to: Corporate Identity, Retail Signage, Trade Show Signage, Real Estate Signs, and Custom Projects.
  • Proactively identify, plan for, and attend relevant local networking events (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, regional business expos) and key national industry trade shows/conferences (e.g., Wide-Format Summit, Printing United Expo) to generate qualified leads, gather competitive intelligence, and promote Vision's brand.

Account Management & Strategic Growth:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, actively nurturing relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and securing repeat orders, which contribute significantly to stable revenue streams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across the full spectrum of large and small format graphics solutions.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with our in-house Production and Graphics teams to manage project timelines and ensure the fulfillment of complex, multi-component signage projects.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Vision Printing's capabilities across various printing processes (digital, wide format) and product lines (signs, graphics, mailing) to explain and market them effectively.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan focused on achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets. Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership.

Experience & Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of 5+ years in high-performance, B2B outside sales, preferably within the commercial printing, wide-format signage, packaging, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of printing processes, material substrates, and production workflow. Must be able to discuss technical project requirements, including material selection for signage, or specialty substrates, with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate the benefits of different printing processes (e.g., UV Digital vs. Screen Printing) and substrates.
  • Highly self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable operating independently as the first sales representative in a high-growth environment.
  • Proficient with CRM/ERP software, MS Office/Google Workspace, and virtual presentation tools.
  • Must reside in or be willing to travel extensively within the Greenville, SC metropolitan area and broader southeastern US.

Compensation & Benefits

  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000 - $120,000+
  • Base Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 (Commensurate with experience).
  • Commission Structure: Uncapped commission based on Revenues.
  • Mileage and approved business expenses reimbursed at the prevailing IRS rate.
