Reports to Quality Manager
Job Description
Through auditing, assure that products which are received and manufactured, meet specified requirements. Advise appropriate Supervisor or Manager when product does not meet specified requirements and assist in cause and corrective action as required.
Essential Functions
- Responsible to perform receiving inspection on all applicable material.
- Perform all in-process and final inspection checks as required.
- Perform all dock audits as required.
- Perform first piece approvals prior to production start-up.
- Issue Quality Problem Reports when non-conforming material is found.
- Review control charts from receiving in-house inspection, making sure all points are in control.
- Assist in making sure that new products meet customer requirements.
- Maintain all quality records in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Perform other duties as instructed by Quality Manager.
- Assist with paperwork associated with AQP.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by the Vice President of Operations
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist Quality Management in performing process capability studies as required.
- Assist in developing cause and corrective action on customer, supplier or internal rejections.
- Member of MRB
- Member of AQP
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of SPC, inspection and laboratory test equipment and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of screen-printing.
- Self-starter, detail oriented and strong math background.
- Must have normal color vision
- Read 5 or 6 point font
