Job Description

As a Security Guard - Government Airport Patrol in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, and/or hazards in accordance with established protocols for government locations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and local authorities as needed.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Support access control procedures, including verifying credentials and managing entry to restricted areas as required.
• Assist with crowd control and wayfinding during peak times or special events at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
