Primary Purpose: The quality manager will direct and oversee the short- and long-term activities and requirements of the Quality Department to ensure that all products delivered to customers meet the specified requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities: The position involves working with the inspection supervisor to ensure that company policies, department SOP's and product specific inspection procedures are strictly followed. The quality manager will manage the ISO quality system by maintaining documentation, leading Management review meetings and directing/coordinating audits (internal and external). This will include facilitating corrective and preventative actions and providing meaningful feedback to production and product management to improve product quality. Additionally, they will complete and submit customer required quality documentation and information and act as the main point of contact with customers to review and resolve quality issues.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Material Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years previous quality experience.

Essential Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English). Mathematical and statistical skills specific to the scope of quality engineering, and the ability to apply engineering and scientific principles to resolve practical problems. Organization and strategic thinking. Proficiency with MS Word & Excel and experience with Minitab (statistical software).

Essential Functions of the Position:

· Maintain the company's Quality system to meet internal needs, comply with ISO standards, as well as satisfying the requirements of the customers.

· Coordinate the periodic review of the company Quality System by management.

· Coordinate and oversee the internal and external auditing of the company Quality System.

· Coordinate and oversee the internal corrective action system.

· Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of the Quality Department.

· Develop the strategic, long-term direction of the Quality Department relative to manpower, training, and equipment. Work with dept supervisors at a tactical level to implement strategic, long term plans.

· Collect, format, and distribute company metrics, as required.

· Coordinate the activities of the Material Review Board.

· Process customer returns via the RMA procedure.

· Timely processing of corrective action responses, as required, including root cause analysis, corrective action, and follow up procedures.

· Complete customer required quality documentation such as PPAP and FAI, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85, $100,000.00 per year
