Sales Manager – Marine Services & Boat Brokerage (Houston, TX)
Hybrid | Commission Only | High-Growth Marine Startup
MK Asset Management Inc. is expanding into Houston, and we're looking for a Sales Manager who can help lead our growth in one of the fastest-developing marine markets on the Gulf Coast. We operate like a startup but execute like a company on the edge of becoming a major player in marine services, detailing, and boat brokerage.
This role is for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, enjoys building systems, and isn't afraid of rolling up their sleeves. You'll manage and grow a local sales team, drive new business, and help shape the future of a company scaling across multiple states.
What You'll Do
- Lead, motivate, and train sales reps across the Houston region.
- Build relationships with marinas, dealerships, boat owners, charter captains, and service shops.
- Oversee both service sales (detailing, maintenance, fueling, etc.) and boat brokerage opportunities.
- Create and execute weekly sales plans, market outreach, and local partnership strategies.
- Work directly with leadership to refine sales processes as we scale into a national brand.
- Track sales numbers, team performance, and lead flow to maintain high closing ratios.
- Maintain a professional image representing a fast-growing marine company.
Compensation (Commission-Only)
This role is commission only, designed for someone who wants a true high-earning, high-autonomy path.
You earn:
- 65% commission on all boat brokerage deals you personally close.
- 25% commission on all service sales you personally secure (detailing, maintenance, fueling, etc.).
- 10% override on boat sales that your sales reps close.
- 5% override on service sales that your sales reps close.
This is a "run your own branch" opportunity for someone with ambition. High performers routinely out-earn traditional full-time marine sales roles.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sales (marine industry preferred, but not required).
- Leadership experience or the ability to confidently guide a team.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to build partnerships.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable with commission-only work.
- Valid driver's license; comfort working around boats and marinas is a plus.
