Director of Sales Coaching & Market Development
Location:
Remote (with frequent travel to corporate and franchise markets)
Our client is transforming how people experience their homes. Through custom-designed storage and organization solutions, they help clients fall in love with their space again. As a rapidly growing home organization franchise, they're expanding both their corporate locations and franchise footprint—and they're looking for a proven in-home sales leader to help them do it right.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales Coaching & Market Development will launch and lead sales in new corporate markets while training and coaching franchise partners to build high-performing in-home sales teams of their own.
This is not an operations role—this is a sales-first, hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to close in the home, lead by example, and develop people who can do the same. You'll help stand up corporate sales markets, build and refine our design/sales playbook, and serve as a "train the trainer" resource to empower franchisees with the confidence and capability to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Market Sales Leadership
- Lead the launch of new corporate markets, owning all aspects of in-home design sales execution.
- Recruit, train, and manage designers/sales reps in those markets until a team and manager are established.
- Set and hit revenue targets by building high-performing, metrics-driven sales teams.
Franchisee Sales Team Development
- Coach franchisees on how to recruit, onboard, and lead their own in-home design teams.
- Provide "train the trainer" support: give owners the tools and confidence to manage and develop sellers.
- Serve as a trusted field mentor on pricing, presentation, close techniques, and customer experience.
Sales Process Optimization
- Continuously refine and document our in-home selling process, tools, and materials.
- Work closely with training and marketing to ensure alignment between lead generation, sales, and onboarding.
- Leverage field insights to improve our national design/sales training program.
Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years of in-home sales experience, including team leadership. Custom closets, home organization, kitchen/bath, window treatments, or similar preferred.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead sales reps in a performance-driven culture.
- Excellent closing skills and experience with high-ticket residential solutions.
- Strong "lead from the front" mindset—you've sold in the home and can still model it today.
- Experience in a franchise, multi-location, or emerging brand environment is a plus.
- Strong communicator and coach who can influence franchise owners and internal teams alike.
- Willing to travel 40–60% as needed to build and support markets.
