Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $120,000 to $140,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze costs of materials, labor, and overhead associated with production.
  • Maintain and update complex Excel-based cost models, including yield rates and bills of material.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports, including cost variance analysis.
  • Perform valuation of monthly physical inventory counts and create related reports.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to gather data and support pricing decisions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, tables, and complex formulas.
  • Communicate complex cost and financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Apply knowledge of multi-input and multi-output production workflows and cost implications.
  • Utilize experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in food processing or production.
  • Implement internal controls to ensure accurate cost reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

  • a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cost analysis or related roles.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret varied instructions.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Display proficiency in preparing budgets, forecasts, and supporting audits.
