Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting IQVenture's human resources functions and ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, employee engagement, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to jump in and help when needed, possessing strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of HR best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including: sourcing and screening, providing guidance on the selection of candidates, processing offers, and background checks.
- Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment efforts, role definition, and workforce planning.
- Maintain candidate pipelines and applicant tracking systems.
- Benchmark and enhance recruiting processes to ensure outstanding applicant experience.
- Create, update, and maintain job descriptions and job postings as needed.
- Coordinate with the training team to facilitate employee orientation.
- Initiate employee exit interviews including communications with the management team and exiting employee.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
- Serve as the primary contact for benefits-related questions and problem resolutions.
- Assist with annual open enrollment and ensure compliance with benefits regulations.
- Support change management efforts related to organizational initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Contribute to HR reporting and analytics to support decision-making and process improvement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Support and/or lead HR projects and company initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 3+ years of solid experience as a HR Generalist.
- PHR or SHRM certification a plus.
- High volume recruiting in a multi-state call center environment a plus.
- Strong MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ATS and HRIS systems. Paylocity a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.
- Experience recruiting and employing creative recruitment and retention strategies.
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills – must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and have the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels within the organization.
- Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience benchmarking, researching and implementing best practices.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Passion for diversity, wellbeing, and employee engagement.
- Understanding of business issues, HR fundamentals, metrics, and customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.
