Role Summary
The Director of Procurement will lead the procurement strategy for Nebulon Dynamics Limited, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. This remote leadership role is critical in streamlining supply chain processes, fostering vendor relationships, and driving cost efficiency across all company projects. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will collaborate across departments to align procurement activities with the company's operational goals and long-term strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness in all purchasing activities.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure reliable and sustainable sources of materials and services.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Implement and utilize advanced procurement systems and data analytics to monitor market trends, track performance metrics, and optimize inventory management.
- Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity in project execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with project management, finance, and engineering teams to ensure procurement activities support project timelines and budget constraints.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum of 810 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain trends and regulatory requirements in civil engineering and construction.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and managing complex contracts.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Professional certifications such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or equivalent are highly desirable.
