About us

The Sanchez Center is a Group Psychotherapy practice catering to young professionals in the Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland area. Our mission is to provide mental health services to individuals in a culturally-sensitive, compassionate, and collaborative setting. We particularly attract clients that care about activism and are making an impact in the world. This is an opportunity to help a practice continue growing.

We are looking for an additional licensed or pre-licensed therapists to join our team part-time or full-time. This is a fully remote teletherapy position, but must be licensed in the DC/MD/VA area.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, takes initiative, and has an entrepreneurial spirit and good time management skills. This will be a remote position for the foreseeable future, applicants must have a safe and secure space for tele-health sessions and stable internet connection.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a Clinical Therapist Associate you will provide individual mental health services to young professionals, college students, and adults in the surrounding Washington DC metro area and California (if CA license applicable)
  • We are looking for therapists that are experienced in working with young adults/adults in the areas of: relationships; college mental health; first generation/second generation immigrants; high pressure job settings; life transitions; cultural stressors; trauma; anxiety; depression.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are fluent in Spanish, have experience working with minority communities, and have competency providing culturally-sensitive care to diverse communities
  • Have a graduate degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
  • Have clinical experience and value social justice, diversity, and equity.
  • Are licensed ( LMHC, LPC, LCSW, PsyD, LMFT, PhD etc) in Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, or California, or another jurisdiction with the ability to become licensed in the DMV area with reciprocity.
  • Available to hold at least 15 patient sessions per week. Flexible schedule, and clinician may have the ability to set their own hours.
  • Looking to grow in a new and exciting position.

Other preferred qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience post licensure.
  • Multilingual (English, Spanish and another language)
