Bungalow Heights is a new restaurant in the Heights

We are seeking experienced, hard-working cooks to work the line. Open availability is required. Bilingual is a plus.

Requirements/Expectations:

  • Have a valid/ up to date food handlers certificate within 30 days of hire
  • Cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance with standards set by the restaurant
  • Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • Assist in putting away stock and follow proper rotation and storage guidelines set forth by the health department
  • Insuring that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety procedures
  • Prepare food on a daily basis (make sauces, portion certain menu items, cut veggies etc...)
  • Following the prep list pars and recipes to ensure quality control and reduce food cost by reducing waste
  • Train and assist on all stations: Grill, Salad, Fry, and Expo
  • Help with dishes if needed or asked
  • Ensuring that all equipment being used is in working order and clean, reporting all issues to management
  • Label and stock all food items with a day label, rotate, and throw out any old or bad products
  • Follow directives set forth by managers and fill out the required daily checklists
  • Recording all thrown out stock with item, amount, reasoning, and initials
  • Cook in co-operation with all of kitchen, Front of House staff, and management
  • Completing all duties given in time allotted

Starting pay is $10-$12 based on experience and ability.

We have Executive Chef Andrew, who has trained at Le Cordon Bleu and has great experience and knowledge to share. Working under him would provide your resume with a great boost in the industry.
