We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team during this exciting stage of growth, commercialization, and innovation. This role will be responsible for the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with both internal controls and industry regulations. Because we operate in the highly regulated medical device sector, your work will be critical in keeping our financial records precise and our vendor relationships strong.

Responsibilities

  • Review, process, and reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in line with company policies.
  • Perform three-way matching (PO, receiving documents, invoices) to confirm accuracy before issuing payments.
  • Process weekly and monthly payments via ACH, check, and wire transfer.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor files, including W-9 forms, tax records, and bank information.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Receiving, and Department Managers to address any purchase or billing issues.
  • Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare AP-related schedules for both internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and boost efficiency.
  • Contribute to finance team projects and other initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing, life sciences, or medical device environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and AP best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
