National Scout – Hoop Connect Hoop Connect | 1099 Independent Contractor | Remote/Travel Required Position Summary The National Scout plays a key role in evaluating talent at Hoop Connect events across the country. This individual provides detailed scouting reports, contributes to player rankings and award recognitions, and helps identify the next wave of standout athletes. We are currently hiring for scouting positions in the following regions: West Coast, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, Mountain West, Deep South, Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position paid on a 100% commission/event basis — perfect for individuals who love basketball, have a strong eye for talent, and want flexibility while working in the grassroots space. Key Responsibilities Attend Hoop Connect events and evaluate player performance. Identify top athletes and provide written evaluations. Submit scouting reports within 48 hours post-event. Collaborate on MVP selections, All-Tournament Teams, and social media highlights. Represent Hoop Connect with professionalism and impartiality. Maintain strong basketball knowledge and awareness of grassroots circuits. Compensation Event-Based Pay – 1099 Contractor (100% Commission) $200 per event day.
