What you'll do

  • Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests and guiding them through the menu, including sushi selections and specials.
  • Take accurate orders ensuring all requests are met with precision.
  • Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
  • Manage multiple tables efficiently while demonstrating excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Foster positive guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.

Basic qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience in a sushi bar or Japanese restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Valid Clark County Health Card
  • Valid Clark County TAM Card

Preferred qualifications

  • Culinary experience or knowledge of Japanese cuisine is a plus.
  • Familiarity with OpenTable reservation systems is advantageous.
  • Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Experience as a host/host or in guest services is beneficial.
