Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 2nd Shift Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves administering medication, ordering medication and providing compassionate resident care as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals with diverse healthcare needs, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's and Elderly residents. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact residents well-being and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support.
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, and temperature to track patient health status.
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining thorough medical documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Maintain accurate medical records by documenting patient interactions using medical terminology and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care tailored to each individual's needs across the assisted living facilities.
  • Uphold safety standards by adhering to protocols related to infection control, HIPAA privacy rules, and proper handling of medical equipment.
  • Engage in ongoing training.
  • As needed assisting in dinning and activities at needed.

Requirements

  • Valid CMT license in Rhode Island.
  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, , or home care environments.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems .
  • Familiarity with caring for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to perform medication administration accurately following prescribed orders.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within healthcare teams and compassionate interaction with patients.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Technician (CMT) or equivalent is required; additional certifications in hospice or dementia care are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts on the 2nd shift schedule while maintaining a positive attitude toward patient-centered care.
