Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 depending on skills and years of experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with PMs to anticipate project demands and resolve issues that arise during the project life cycle.
• Embrace a "trust but verify" approach, adept at asking probing questions to unearth root issues and ensure thorough understanding.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and actual costs; prepare cost reports; and analyze cost data.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and actual progress based on information provided by PMs or team members; prepare schedule reports; and analyze schedule data.
• Constantly seek to find signs of problems before they occur. Identify warning signs and elevate them to the appropriate level.
• Develop and maintain a professional rapport with client, project team members, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Participate in process improvement team efforts to achieve divisional/company objectives.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by assigned projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of accrual-based accounting methodologies and practices (for fixed price projects and time and materials projects).
• Knowledge of computer applications and functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software (Microsoft Project, Unanet, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving/judgment skills
• Understanding of project management and accounting terminology
• Ability to prepare and/or maintain project plans, reports, documents, and procedures to address specific project needs.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to travel (less than 20%) and work extended hours for project assignments and meetings
• Ability to adjust to a fast‐paced environment and meet project deadlines.
• Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• Ability to assess personal workload demands and proactively communicate, flagging instances of potential overwork or underutilization.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree plus at least (2) years of related project controls or administration experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Training in Project Management is preferred.
• Training in project management software is preferred.
• Natural gas or utility experience is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Duties are performed in an office environment.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
• Consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co‐workers and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
