Senior Systems Engineer
is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise systems with a focus on virtualization, cloud services, servers, and storage environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall administration and operation of all Windows servers.
• Ensures all Acosta Windows servers are backed up and recoverable.
• Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including NetScaler/ADC, StoreFront, and Citrix Cloud.
• Installs and configures new Windows servers.
• Administer and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
• Design and maintain Azure infrastructure: virtual machines, networking, storage, identity, and security services.
• Support hybrid cloud environments integrating Azure, VMware, Hyper-V and on-prem systems
• Support and maintain Microsoft Active Directory Services.
• Provides third-level support for PC issues related to servers.
• Assists software developers with application troubleshooting related to server and/or network infrastructure.
• Assists Manager in determining needed hardware and software upgrades of servers and network infrastructure.
• Creates and maintains server administration documentation.
• Creates and maintains systems and disaster recovery documentation.
• Responsible for maintaining and following change control processes.
• Design and Implement new Systems to support business efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Acosta Data Center Services Management.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certifications including but not limited to: VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA.)
• Seven (7) or more years overall IT experience at a Level 3 Support or Higher.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

• Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform)
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft server platforms and networking concepts including Active Directory 2019 and 2022, Microsoft 365, Azure, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS.
• Firm understanding of TCP/IP and VPN in a Cisco environment.
• Working knowledge of Citrix client-server platform.
• Experience with VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V, and, NetApp
