Job Title: Maintenance / HousemanPosition Summary:

The Maintenance/Houseman is responsible for assisting with the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the hotel, including minor repairs, maintenance tasks, and support for the housekeeping department. This position ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Duties:

  • Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, painting, etc.).
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assist with setting up or breaking down furniture, equipment, or fixtures as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems, including safety equipment.
  • Report major repair needs to management or outside contractors.

Houseman Duties:

  • Support the housekeeping team by delivering linens, supplies, and amenities to guest rooms or carts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and exterior grounds.
  • Remove trash and dirty linens from guest floors and housekeeping closets.
  • Assist with deep cleaning tasks and room turnovers as directed by the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Help move furniture or items for guest requests or special events.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in hotel maintenance or housekeeping support is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and small maintenance repairs.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-service focused.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
