Reno, Nevada, United States Port of Subs Full time

Join Our Team

Ready to make every media dollar count? Port of Subs is searching for a sharp, data-driven Media Coordinator who knows how to plan, buy, and optimize paid media that delivers real results.

This isn't just another media buying role - it's your chance to own the paid media strategy for an iconic brand that's scaling fast. Backed by Area 15 Ventures and nearly 50 years of proven success, we're growing aggressively and need a media expert who can navigate the full spectrum - from Google Ads and Meta to out-of-home, broadcast, and everything in between.

What You'll Do

As our Media Coordinator, you'll be the strategic force behind Port of Subs' paid media presence. Your fingerprints will be on every campaign, every buy, and every optimization as you:

Build Strategic Media Plans

  • Collaborate with Field Marketing Strategists and corporate leadership to plan campaigns that align with business goals and reach key audiences
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend the ideal media mix across digital (search, paid social, programmatic), traditional (OOH, broadcast, print), and emerging channels
  • Partner with creative and digital teams to ensure campaign assets are on-brand, properly formatted, and optimized for each platform
  • Develop media strategies that balance reach, frequency, and efficiency across regional and national campaigns

Execute Smart Media Buys

  • Negotiate directly with media vendors and platforms to secure competitive rates, premium placements, and value-added opportunities that stretch budgets further
  • Execute media buys and manage full campaign setup across all channels with precision
  • Ensure timely trafficking of creative assets, accurate tracking implementation, and adherence to platform specifications
  • Review and verify media invoices for accuracy, catching discrepancies before they become problems
  • Submit billing reconciliations promptly to maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely payment

Manage & Optimize Campaigns in Real-Time

  • Monitor pacing, delivery, and performance across all active media buys to ensure alignment with KPIs, budgets, and timelines
  • Analyze performance data using Google Analytics, platform dashboards, and internal tools to identify optimization opportunities
  • Make data-driven adjustments to maximize campaign efficiency and impact
  • Partner with stakeholders to review results, share insights, and implement improvements that drive better outcomes

Deliver Clear Reporting & Budget Management

  • Maintain accurate media budget logs including spend tracking, invoice management, and reconciliation
  • Provide ongoing budget updates and performance reviews to internal stakeholders
  • Produce post-campaign reports with actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and clear ROI analysis
  • Support quarterly and annual media planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles that inform strategic decisions

Who You Are

You're a media pro who understands the entire ecosystem - from programmatic bidding to broadcast negotiation. You've managed campaigns, analyzed performance, and know how to make media budgets work harder. You thrive on organization, optimization, and delivering measurable results.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
  • 3+ years of media planning and buying experience, ideally in an in-house or brand-side marketing team (agency background welcome, but you're ready for the brand side)
  • Hands-on experience with digital platforms: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, programmatic platforms, and social/digital ad tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel for budget tracking and PowerPoint for reporting
  • Strong analytical skills - you can analyze data, manage budgets, interpret performance metrics, and translate numbers into strategy
  • Media negotiation experience - you know how to secure competitive rates and maximize value
  • Strategic thinking - you can evaluate media options and build recommendations based on objectives and audience insights
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly
  • Relationship-building abilities - you work seamlessly with media vendors, internal teams, and external partners
  • Project management excellence - you juggle multiple campaigns simultaneously without dropping balls
  • Exceptional attention to detail - you catch errors before they happen and keep timelines, deliverables, and budgets organized
  • Fast-paced adaptability - you thrive in environments where priorities shift and deadlines are real

Bonus points for:

  • QSR, restaurant, or franchise marketing experience
  • Experience with regional and national media buying
  • Familiarity with traditional media (broadcast, OOH, print) in addition to digital
  • Knowledge of franchise co-op advertising structures

What We Offer

This is more than a job - it's a career-defining opportunity. You'll report directly to the Director of Field Marketing and work alongside top-tier leadership in an environment where your ideas drive real results and your impact is visible across the entire franchise system.

The perks:
