Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apartment Make Ready Painter and Drywall specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing apartment units for new residents by performing painting, drywall repairs, and various finishing tasks. Your expertise will ensure that each unit meets our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in construction, drywall installation, and finishing while contributing to a vibrant community environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surface preparation including sanding, patching, and priming walls to ensure smooth finishes before painting or drywall installation.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or airless spray equipment to achieve a professional and durable finish.
  • Install, repair, and finish drywall panels, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to restore or enhance interior walls.
  • Conduct repairs related to water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general plastering to maintain unit integrity.
  • Execute trim carpentry tasks such as door hanging, baseboard installation, and fixture mounting with precision.
  • Utilize blueprint reading and schematics to accurately measure and execute renovation plans.
  • Perform caulking and sealing around windows, doors, and fixtures to ensure energy efficiency and prevent leaks.
  • Assist with flooring installation, tile laying, masonry work, and metal stud framing as needed for comprehensive make-ready projects.
  • Operate construction tools including airless paint sprayers and hand tools safely and efficiently on-site.
  • Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on drywall installation, painting, or finishing trades.
  • Strong knowledge of plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with water damage restoration processes and mold remediation practices.
  • Hands-on experience with fixture installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, and metal stud framing preferred.
  • Knowledge of the restoration industry standards is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on diverse projects.
  • Valid construction site experience with safety-conscious practices in a fast-paced environment.
