Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and service, with experience in various aspects of food preparation, handling, and safety. You will be responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and served according to established standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Monday – Thursday 10a-6:30p / Friday 5:45a – 2:15p

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
  • Assist in menu planning and development to ensure a diverse selection of meals
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen
  • Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and preparation techniques are followed
  • Serve meals to customers with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation during meal service
  • Perform cleaning duties, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing kitchen equipment
  • Assist with catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
  • Familiarity with menu planning and fine dining service is a plus
  • Experience in food preparation, cooking, and handling within the food industry
  • Culinary experience with strong knife skills is highly desirable
  • Background in restaurant or kitchen environments will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential
