Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The Prep Cook plays a critical support role by ensuring that ingredients are prepared and stations are fully stocked for service. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about food and eager to grow in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and measuring spices
  • Follow recipes and prep lists accurately to support line cooks and chefs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
  • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring quality and rotation (FIFO)
  • Label and date all prepped items to ensure food safety and freshness
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
  • Support the team in setup and breakdown of stations before and after service
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or prep cook experience preferred but not required — we're willing to train the right person
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain before start date)
