Position Overview

The Commercial Baking Associate plays a key role in producing our signature granola products by assisting with ingredient preparation, batch mixing, baking, cooling, and packaging. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow standardized manufacturing processes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced production setting, and takes pride in quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and scale ingredients according to batch sheets and production schedules.
  • Operate commercial mixers, ovens, and related production equipment.
  • Spread granola evenly on baking trays and monitor bake times for color, texture, and consistency.
  • Safely remove and transport baked granola to cooling and processing areas.
  • Break down, size, or crumble granola to required specifications.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished goods as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, including batch logs, lot tracking, and production records.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workstations following GMP and food safety guidelines.
  • Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in commercial food manufacturing, baking, or a similar production environment preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic math skills for scaling ingredients and completing production paperwork.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working around ovens, mixers, and other industrial bakery equipment.
  • Must adhere to all food safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.

  • Fast-paced production floor.
  • Exposure to warm environments and routine lifting, bending, and repetitive motions.
  • Requires strict adherence to GMPs, allergen controls, and cleanliness standards.
