Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is a member of the Bravas Finance and Accounting Team and Accounts Receivable Supervisor manages the accounts payable team, overseeing invoice processing, vendor relationships, staff supervision, and ensuring accurate and timely payments, while maintaining financial records and complying with SOPs and GAAP. The AR Supervisor also prepares reports, identify inefficiencies, and collaborates with other departments to streamline the payment processing task. The position will also be asked to create process documentation and improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervising and Guiding AR Staff: Leading, mentoring, and training accounts receivable staff, assigning tasks, and managing workload
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR procedures.
- Manage collections of all AR for assigned location(s)
- Billing Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, resolving payment discrepancies, and addressing client issues
- Billing Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely invoices, including preparing and processing checks, electronic payments, and reconciliations
- Financial Reporting: Preparing and evaluating accounting reports and identifying trends
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve AR processes and optimize workflows
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Internal Controls: Maintaining the integrity of internal controls to prevent fraud and errors
- Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as procurement and finance
- Other Duties: Reconcile Credit Card statements, Vendor statements and other tasks as needed
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced growth stage environment
- Strong organizational skills and high-level of detail orientation required to maintain and submit all necessary documentation and meet deadlines and requirements
- Basic understanding of GAAP as related to AR
- Effective verbal and written communication
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or equivalent in a related discipline is a plus
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on accounts receivable transaction processing experience.
- Experience in driving process improvement in a heavy growth environment
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint)
- Proficiency in accounting software and/or ERP systems. NetSuite, and Ramp experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
