What impact you'll make
As a member of the Advanced Component Design team, Power Generation Technologies, you will be an active contributor to the development of new component designs and technologies to create value for Gas Power's customers.
What you'll do
- Design, assess and validate next generation components in close collaboration with key experts and strategic partners. Develop and deploy cross-disciplinary skills in mechanical design, heat transfer, aerodynamics, materials, manufacturing, and complex solid modeling. Cooperate with other Departments, Vernova Advanced Research Center, or other 3rd parties to create dependable new technologies aligned to product need.
- Energize peers with a creative and innovative problem-solving mindset with encouraging, inclusive and open-minded problem solving. Create intellectual property applications to protect company assets. Implement LEAN methods for continuous improvement to eliminate waste and increase speed.
- Execute structured problem solving and advanced computational approaches using techniques such as design-of-experiments, machine learning and probabilistic forecasting to determine the possible and probable.
- Comply with US Export Compliance regulations.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- B.S degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering discipline
- Basic experience with 3D CAD software - NX preferred.
- Familiarity with FEM methods - ANSYS preferred.
- Familiarity with programming - Python preferred.

- Production manufacturing experience.

- This is a hybrid role requiring in-person interfacing with colleagues from other departments to produce hardware.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 71, ,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. This position will stay open on the career website until at least November 8th, 2025.
