Role Overview

The Desktop Support Specialist III is responsible for providing high-quality technical support to end users across the organization. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting meeting technologies, and ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and peripherals. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, including VIPs and executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction targets
  • Communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Document support activities and resolutions in ticketing systems
  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Perform additional duties as needed based on business requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–4 years of desktop support experience
  • Corporate customer service experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows OS and hardware
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Understanding of networking principles and printing environments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ITIL-based support processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of macOS and cross-platform support
