Porter, Rogers, Dahlman, & Gordon, P.C. is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join the team in our San Antonio, TX location. This position would be providing support to a team handling a large insurance defense practice. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and exceptional organizational skills.
Summary:
This position will be responsible for providing administrative and legal support as well as maintaining and organizing case files, assisting in preparation of various legal documents, and submitting billable time for one attorney. This role is seated at reception.
Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments and coordinate attorney's calendar and tasks
E-file and E-serve pleadings and other legal documents.
Assists with preparation and scheduling of meetings, hearings, depositions, and trials.
Enter time for the Lead Shareholder
Assembles and organizes case information for legal forms and documents.
Screening incoming telephone calls and messages.
Proactive involvement in attorney's communications and coordination with clients and other attorneys.
Submit bills and invoices to our billing department
Arrange for delivery of correspondence and packages (USPS, FedEx, etc.) including certified mail
Admin duties that include check printing, phones, receiving packages, welcoming clients, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years insurance defense or personal injury experience
Superior organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience with document management systems preferred (NetDocuments).
Experience with case management systems preferred (AIM).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
