Job Summary:

We are expanding and are seeking an additional legal assistant/paralegal to join our fast-paced workers' compensation team. This position plays a critical role in the firm's success, and the right fit to join our team is an energetic, reliable team player who is extremely detail oriented, organized, and has real experience in the legal field.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Communicate and follow up with clients throughout the case and treatment process.
  • Case management, including, but not limited to, filing, documenting, e-mailing, and texting within the firm's legal case management software.
  • Draft legal documents to medical providers, insurance companies and other parties.
  • Prepares and ensures relevant elements of a case are collected, maintained, and organized including the status of claims from insurance companies and client's treatment and medical history from medical providers.
  • Regularly communicate with insurance adjusters and insurance carriers.
  • Ensure and verify insurance coverage.
  • Other case duties as assigned.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with navigating websites related to public records.

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in the legal field is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary office work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Compensation determined based on a wide array of factors including skill set, years & depth of experience, and certification.

Benefits: Paid time off, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Paid Sick days.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 5:30 pm)

Travel requirement: No travel

Work Location: In person
