Manager of Strategic Partnerships/ Legislative initiatives

Responsible for developing, managing, nurturing, and growing key partnerships that will drive organizational growth and strategic objectives. This will include maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

THE INDIVIDUAL MUST HAVVE 5+ YEARS OF PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE EXPERIENCE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow and manage the organization's partner membership program. This would encompass engagement with carriers, affiliates, and other groups that are involved in the independent insurance agents' network within Colorado and Montana.
  • Manage all carrier relationships for Agents Service Corporation (ASC), the organization's for-profit subsidiary. This would include carrier meetings, attending carrier events, and working with management on goal setting and tracking for ASC.
  • Event planning – Working with the team to help plan, guide, and put on events throughout the year. Managing all partner participation within the events, to include but not limited to trade shows and sponsorships.
  • Manage and oversee the relationship and resources around IBHS (Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety). This will include working with numerous stakeholders to implement a new program in Colorado.
  • Legislative Coordinator – Working with CEO and contract lobbyists to guide all legislative initiatives at both a local and national level.
  • Strategy Implementation – Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy, including setting clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPI's), and milestones for each partnership.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration – Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, membership, and leadership.
  • Additional vendor relationships not yet identified at this time.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.
  • The individual will need to handle many of their own administrative functions for this role.

Required Skills

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills. This role will have a lot of facets to it, that will require multiple ongoing projects at any given time.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to communicate, present, and speak on behalf of the organization.
  • Relationship Building – Ability to establish and grow relationships is vital to this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong record of building and maintaining successful partnerships.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is strongly desired.

Compensation

80k-90k annually. Full benefits including Medical, Dental, STD, LTD, 401k, with company contribution, paid time off.
