Job Description:

JMA Solutions, LLC, a thriving management consultant firm with headquarters in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Senior GIS Support Analyst to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Senior I GIS Support Analyst will deliver advanced technical support and expertise in managing and maintaining geographic information systems (GIS). Acting as both a subject-matter expert and mentor, this role provides design, implementation, and troubleshooting of spatial data infrastructure to support multiple departments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, Civil Engineering, or related field. [], []
  • 4+ years of GIS experience (designing, implementing, managing GIS databases and applications) or similar combination of education and experience. [], []

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcGIS Server/Portal, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server). [], [], []
  • Strong spatial analysis, cartographic principles, and map design abilities. [], [], []
  • Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder); familiarity with .NET or JavaScript is a plus. [], []
  • Solid understanding of metadata standards, data stewardship, and data conversion best practices. [], [], []
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and troubleshooting skills to support both technical and non-technical audiences. [], [], []
