What is Freebites?
Freebites is a mobile app notifying students and faculty of free food opportunities on campus.
Say goodbye to outdated email lists and group chats.
Anyone affiliated with Tufts (Medford campus), Harvard (Cambridge campus), and Northeastern (Boston campus) can create a post for free food. We believe that an intuitive and organized platform is necessary to bring college food waste to 0.
We empower clubs, academic departments, catering events, and individuals to reduce food waste by creating posts about excess food using the Freebites app, which takes less than 2 minutes. It's then pushed to our network of over 1500 college students based on university.

We are a small but passionate team of engineers, designers, marketing experts, and community managers mostly based at Tufts University. As a Campus Ambassador, you will be joining a growing marketing team dedicated to expanding Freebites's brand presence across the Greater Boston area.
Freebites is constantly evolving, which makes this role particularly exciting to support campaigns for Freebites' newest features.

Your responsibilities:
Check the Freebites app or website daily to flag and delete inappropriate posts
Support the marketing team in launching Freebites on your campus via flyers, tabling events, and club collaborations
Seek collaboration opportunities with Freebites on your campus including but not limited to events, clubs, dances/formals…
Produce 1 short-form video a month for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
Adapt trends into on-brand, high-retention clips that spotlight Freebites core pillars of food sustainability and college culture
Meet with marketing team 2x a month to share campus reception, roadblocks, feedback, and insights
