Job Description Summary Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining Wentworth as a Public Safety Ambassador . The Public Safety Ambassador is an unarmed, non-sworn position without arrest authority. The Community Service Officer will patrol Wentworth Institute of Technology’s campus (residence halls and academic buildings) to prevent crime, enforce parking regulations, work at the campus police dispatch center or at a stationary post on campus, and participate in the Mission Hill Ride Along with the Boston Police Department to help address off-campus quality of life and student code of conduct violations and offenses. Uses instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function. Periodic training will be required. Preferred Knowledge Advertised Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Willing to work varying shifts and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong written and oral communication skills with an aptitude for problem solving and customer service. Ability to exercise discretion, use good judgement, and act quickly in emergency situations. Will be required to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
