Duties:
As a Detail Master at a Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealership, your primary responsibility is to ensure each vehicle is thoroughly cleaned, reconditioned, and presented in top condition for our customers. This includes interior and exterior detailing, buffing, waxing, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and addressing cosmetic imperfections. You'll work closely with the sales and service teams to prepare vehicles for the lot and final delivery, helping to create a great first impression and a positive ownership experience. Your attention to detail and pride in your work directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the dealership.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full interior and exterior detailing on vehicles, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets and upholstery.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and cosmetic defects; report any issues to management or service staff.
- Use buffers, steamers, and cleaning agents to restore vehicle appearance to dealership standards.
- Prepare vehicles for lot display and customer delivery, ensuring a polished, showroom-ready finish.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detail bay and ensure all tools and supplies are properly stored and used safely.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in automotive detailing or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using detailing tools and cleaning products safely and correctly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly desired
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to operate tools and controls
