Server Assistant / Food Runner / Kitchen Expeditors

Job Summary:

Server Assistants / Food Runners at Eastward Ho Country Club are accountable for the proper expedition of food from the kitchen to the dining areas in a timely manner. Other duties include setting and clearing dining room tables before, during and after meal service and assisting servers with other duties

Qualifications:

Experience is not required; however, applicants should be familiar with food service and hospitality procedures. He or she must be able to learn prescribed methods for reading kitchen tickets and presentation of all menu items.  Carrying trays, removing dishes, setting tables, cleaning dining areas, lifting and moving of furniture is required.  Must be able to work rapidly during rush periods. Must be able to work during weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Treat each other with respect and dignity is every team member's responsibility.
  • Complete daily side work according to daily side work sheet.
  • Assist servers in carrying food trays to and from the kitchen.
  • Deliver food items to members at each table according to seat numbers to ensure prompt service when necessary.
  • Assist servers by reading kitchen tickets and setting up trays for delivery to dining rooms.
  • Set up kitchen with all sides, condiments, utensils needed for service with all food items.
  • Serve water as members are seated and replenish as needed.
  • Offer bread rolls at each table and replenish as needed.
  • Break down all dirty trays brought into kitchen.
  • Assist servers in clearing dirty dishes from tables to the kitchen.
  • Remove soiled linen and replaces with clean linen.
  • Assist with room resets according to reservation lists and supervisors' directions.
  • Assist in restocking of dining room wait stations.
  • Fill & maintain ice bins.
  • Assist members with coats and to and from their vehicle if necessary, via the courtesy cart.
  • Alert Manager of all maintenance related issues in dining areas.
  • Collect trash from bar and wait stations and dispose in dumpster.
  • Move and arrange furniture, tables and chairs as needed.
  • Carry daily used linen to laundry bin at the end of shift.
