Responsibilities

  • Greeting our guests and writing up concerns or questions they have about their vehicle/fleet.
  • Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered in place of expensive repairs.
  • Overseeing and managing the service department's scheduling and overflow.
  • Follow customer repairs along the way by consulting with technicians and also with customers in reference to service, cost savings and warranty protections or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up.

Qualifications

  • Math/Writing Skills: Prepare and calculate estimates.
  • Comprehension Skills: Be able to comprehend customer questions and concerns as well as what is being said when technicians give detailed service recommendations.
  • Customer Service Skills: Be able to deal with suppliers, provide estimates and schedule appointments, so being courteous and friendly is a must. They also need to be able to handle customer complaints politely and professionally.
  • Communication Skills: Service Advisors will be the communication representative between the technician (recommendations) and the customer (repairs)while vehicle is in our repair facility.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Work well and quickly with change. Having knowledge in the Automotive areas is essential, when looking over work orders and also when repairs are running behind schedule or parts arrive late.
  • Mechanical/Automotive Expertise: Having extensive knowledge in these areas is a plus when looking over complex technical documents, ordering online and speaking with parts suppliers and technicians.
