Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior CADD Operator to join our team In this role, you will develop Microstation and CAD working drawings from equipment specifications, engineering notes, sketches, and/or detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards and codes.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings, including standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., based on rough sketches or general engineering and design information, following established standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated and accurate design.
  • Apply standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments.
  • Reference technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies, applicable standards, and codes.
  • Ensure designs meet required safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations necessary for the preparation of drawings.
  • Read and interpret orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
  • Make required changes, additions, and revisions as directed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience using both Microstation and CAD software.
  • Working knowledge of other computer software used in design assignments.
  • Knowledge of materials and methods typically used within the assigned discipline.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Related certification of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (preferred).

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree or 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
