Position Overview

To provide quality therapeutic services within a nursing rehabilitation center to adults with identified mental health or substance abuse diagnosis, in a safe environment engaging them in the therapy process.

Essential Functions

  1. Treats clients, family members, visitors and fellow employees with courtesy, dignity and respect, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and competency.

  2. Review and complete progress notes weekly

  3. Exemplifies a team concept.

  4. Complete Bio-psychosocial Assessments and Treatments plans

  5. Demonstrates ethical and professional conduct in the performance of all position functions, free of fraud, abuse and conflict of interest.

  6. Completes documentation including Mental Health treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, biopsychosocial assessments, required demographic reports, and discharge documentation.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  1. Create a stable culture within the department and build collaborative relationships with staff and leadership

  2. Adheres to code of ethics and ensures compliance with all Departmental rules and regulations, applicable Florida Statutes and, administrative code and licensing requirements established by the Board of Mental Health Counselors, Clinical Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists

  3. Works with the facility's mental health/substance abuse staff, physician consultants, case managers and support staff to ensure that the mental health and substance abuse programming is fully understood and integrated within the facility and that all staff members support a facility-wide emphasis on prevention and treatment.

Job Qualification Requirements

Knowledge/Experience:

* Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, behavioral science or equivalent field of study

* Must pass a criminal background check

License/ Certification: Acceptable LCSW/LMHC/LMFT
