Senior Product Owner, Business Intelligence Center

Overview:

The Senior Product Owner plays a key leadership role in delivering value through the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software products and enhancements. This position involves managing and mentoring agile teams, owning multiple high-impact product lines, and driving collaboration between business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage 2–6 business analysts.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of one or more complex software products aligned with business needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Research and analyze industry trends to guide product strategy.
  • Create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and trade-offs.
  • Translate product requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Monitor sprint progress, resolve issues, and approve completed work.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Identify risks, analyze impacts, and propose solutions.
  • Support crisis management and maintain a data-driven, analytical mindset.
  • Manage team performance metrics and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Utilize financial and budget data to inform staffing and planning decisions.
  • Promote an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
  • Present deliverables, demos, and insights effectively to various audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in an agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and other agile frameworks.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, complex, and highly technical product deliveries.
  • Deep knowledge of emerging technologies, including cloud solutions, SaaS platforms, and enterprise applications.
