Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Full Time in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is an armed position, requiring you to carry out your responsibilities with professionalism and integrity, while upholding our core values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor and report suspicious behavior and/or activities within the location.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate with Allied Universal management regarding any security-related concerns.
  • Assist law enforcement and first responders as directed during emergency events.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by the location.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the armed patrol assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
