Hyphen Trade School prepares the next generation of skilled tradespeople with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the HVAC/R field.

We are looking for a HVAC/R Instructor who has a passion for teaching. He will run his own class teaching HVAC two days per week from 9am to 7pm (either Monday/Tuesday OR Wednesday/Thursday).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in HVAC theory and application.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect current industry standards.
  • Build content for the school's eLearning platform, which delivers lectures and quizzes online.
  • Provide mentorship and support to students to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required; additional certifications (e.g., NATE) preferred.
  • Prior teaching or training experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
